  1. I’m not a stalker. I’m just a regular person who reads the Modern Love column every week, and who can’t seem to stop weeping this morning, so I had to track you down and say that directly to you. (I’m not the only one — a good friend of mine and I both shared your article on Facebook at almost the same moment.)

Thank you for giving me a good cry. I hope she said yes, and much luck to you and Melinda!

  2. I’m the progressive in Texas (at least it sometimes seems I’m the only one) and I liked the Modern Love column a great deal. I send best wishes no matter what answer you get to your magnificent proposal.

  3. Amy! Kat here… just read your piece in the Times while sipping coffee… got halfway through it before I was like “Wait a second…. I KNOW HER!” Congrats on the essay — really enjoyed it — and congrats to you and Mel on everything. Please give her my best. I’m in Baltimore now and will be in the city with more regularity. Would love to see you soon. I’ll email you because we have a lot of catching up to do!

  4. Dear Amy Deneson,

Your piece in Modern Love, this morning, is really very lovely. Thanks for sharing it with us all.

Any chance you have a bibliography of your work, so a person may read more of your stuff?

    Peace,

    Jack

  5. From one Wisconsin girl to another, just wanted to say that your Modern Love column was great and I hope to see you & Melinda in the wedding announcement section soon. :) Congrats!
